WHAT:
I have been doing my geometry challenge and had just finished writing all of my explanations in my book. The next thing we have to do is make a book using 10 chosen words from the list of geometry words.
Another thing I've done this week is, since it's NZSL week, we have been doing activities. I was in charge of the bing-go and NZSL conversation. It was pretty #oresome to see all of our learners signing.
SO WHAT:
This week was NZSL week which is also known as sign language week. We did this because it was part of sign language and we would also like to see our students signing to each other. We all know a bit of sign language. Most of us know heaps like Ash and Aleena.
The learning I got out of this was learning how to sign and be able to talk to our deaf learners.
WHAT NOW:
The things I still need to complete with my geometry challenge is my book.
I want to explore the world of sign language and how people founded out that it existed. I also want to learn how to sign more.
Hi Jasmine,
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I'm so pleased to see you take charge of your learning. I would love to see you do an iExplore about deaf culture and NZSL- maybe you could work with a deaf learner? It would be nice to see an NZSL mihi on your About Me page in your learning pathway too. What do you think?
